Philly's CODE RICH Challenge

MARCH 31st, 2019! Visit our registration page to find out more!

Registration is $20 per team of 4. This registration fee is NOT refundable!

Temple University’s Chapter of Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) invites you to compete in Philadelphia's Code RICH (Regional Intercollegiate Competition for Healthcare) Challenge!

As members of HOSA, our mission is to promote an understanding of healthcare through both community service and competition. In line with this mission, our goal for the Code RICH Challenge is to include students from across all health professions and promote a dialogue among pre-health students across college-level communities in a competitive environment.

The format of the competition is team-based; groups of three or four students will first complete a preliminary multiple-choice test to determine rankings for the subsequent “buzzer” round. Cash prizes in the amount of $600, $400, and $200 will be given for first, second, and third placing teams, respectively. The awards ceremony will directly follow the competition and students will have an opportunity to network with each other during the reception. Food will be provided in addition to competition T-shirts.

Questions will be drawn from a variety of sources across pre-health disciplines, including medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physical therapy, etc. Although we encourage our competitors to assemble a diverse pre-health team, this is not required. However, it is certainly to your advantage to include individuals who may have strengths in different pre-health areas!
