ABOUT TEMPLE HOSA

Temple University’s Chapter of Heath Occupation Students of America (HOSA) is a national pre-health organization. HOSA places emphasis on community service and career preparation. We strive to promote opportunities in the healthcare field, as well as produce the best future healthcare professionals in the United States, including doctors, pharmacists, dentists, physical therapists, nurses, and more.

At Temple University, we focus on making a difference in the community. Some of the events we take part in include Chosen 300 (a local soup kitchen), Hope After School Tutoring, City Serves (improving elementary school conditions), Adopt-a-Block (community cleanup), and many more. We also strive to challenge our members intellectually. For this reason, we hold events like Jeopardy and other knowledge-based games. This is also how the idea of our Code RICH competition was started. This intercollegiate competition will be the first of its kind in the Philadelphia area, and we are extremely excited to host it!

We are ecstatic to be a part of both Pennsylvania and National HOSA, and of course, we are extremely proud to represent Temple University and the city of Philadelphia!
